The development of the “RegTech” industry, formerly under the umbrella of FinTech, has created a defined niche, primarily in the financial services sector. New RegTech providers focus on improving regulatory change management workflows by introducing technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and process automation. How will financial services firms and other industries manage their regulatory changes using their existing GRC solution? Technology is necessary to implement a solid GRC ecosystem, but existing GRC solutions require new functionality and data to bridge the gap between GRC and RegTech solutions.
