Another way to think of the Great Resignation is as the “Great Disconnection.”

In the wake of the pandemic and the shift to flexible work-from-anywhere policies, over 60% of workers say they feel less connected to their coworkers. Employee disconnection is one of the main drivers of voluntary turnover, with lonely employees costing U.S. companies up to $406 billion a year.

All of this causes more turnover, more absences, reduced productivity, and reduced work quality.

But even if it didn't cause all of this organizational harm, isn't it bad enough that our peers may feel disconnected and lonely? What do you want to do about this reality?

As GRC Professionals … as Protectors … we have unique skills to help our coworkers and our organizations.
