USING TECHNOLOGY TO ENABLE GOVERNANCE, RISK & COMPLIANCE PROCESSES
In addition to providing quality service at the lowest possible cost, IT is now charged with enabling the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) initiatives set forth by the business.  How can IT achieve this alignment?  How can technology be utilized to support the business need to cross silos, integrate operations and provide timely reporting?

“Compliance management depends on getting the right information at the right time. And yet the current IT architectures, which may do a good job of enabling transactions, do not meet information requirements," according to Lee Dittmar, Principal with Deloitte Consulting, LLP.

This webinar conversation is focused on re-thinking this approach so the business can clearly communicate realistic GRC expectations and requirements, and IT can prioritize GRC activities into an overall service program. Boards, individual directors and senior executives are experiencing unprecedented pressure and visibility as to how they perform their oversight roles.

In an increasingly interconnected world, risk is pervasive and timeless. Companies are now four years into changes related to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Professionals across the enterprise have the responsibility and opportunity to work together to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their GRC programs. Current realities: - Everyone, including IT, is stretched for resources. - Businesses may not always prioritize their requests of IT as part of a holistic plan. - An integrated GRC program depends on communication, support and collaboration horizontally and vertically. IT is in a unique position because it must continue to offer high-speed, highly available, high quality service.

To enable GRC, IT must align with the business. Mandatory and Voluntary boundaries must be clearly stated by the Business so IT can manage service levels, as well as compliance levels. Experts from Deloitte, SAP and Cisco will share their insights and recommendations on “Using Technology to enable Integrated GRC” in the webinar February 6 at 12 noon Mountain Time.
