A Comprehensive GRC Educational Series Is Now Available Online

Help for improving the governance, assessment and management of performance, risk and compliance to achieve target objectives

OCEG, a non-profit think tank, is now offering the GRC Fundamentals online educational series, to teach the principles and practices of an integrated approach to governance, risk and compliance (GRC). Courses include discussions about Principled Performance, the meaning of GRC, key definitions and the structure of the OCEG GRC Capability Model (Red Book), in addition to units on each Element of the Red Book, which contains open source standards that organizations may use to improve governance, management and assurance of performance, risk and compliance activities.

“More and more, we are hearing from compliance, risk, audit and other professionals who want to learn about GRC so that they can add to their credentials; this course series is a great resource to help them expand their knowledge and prepare for the GRC Professional Certification exam we offer,” said Melissa Lentz, Executive Director of OCEG's affiliate organization, GRC Certify. “OCEG has always been at the forefront of establishing GRC concepts and resources to help organizations implement GRC practices,” she continued, “and now with GRC Fundamentals it is enabling individuals to learn about GRC at their desks in a very cost effective way.”

“While we continue to offer GRC seminars and workshops for those who want to take a deeper dive and interact with peers,” said OCEG President Carole Switzer, “not everyone has the time or financial resources available for a multi-day live training course. And of course, having an online self-directed learning allows us to provide this education globally.”

GRC Fundamentals is the only comprehensive online video series available to train management and staff in compliance, risk, audit, finance, legal, information technology and other roles involved in GRC efforts in organizations today.
