The OCEG Corporate Governance Maturity Model is currently a draft narrative matrix that describes the characteristics for each of five decision-making attributes that would be present at each of five levels of maturity.
The model was developed by OCEG with the input of the National Association of Corporate Directors with the expectation that the model may serve as a basis for mutually set expectations around corporate governance as between the board and executive management. The model provides a basis for organizations to assess where they currently stand, to set targets for enhancing their governance processes and to create strategic and tactical plans to pursue maturity.
