OCEG TO KEYNOTE ACL CONNECTIONS 2008 USER CONFERENCE
VANCOUVER, CANADA (March 4, 2008) – ACL Services Ltd. has announced the agenda for Connections 2008, the ACL global user conference to be held in Vancouver on April 6-8, 2008. The keynote speaker for this year’s event is Open Compliance and Ethics Group (OCEG) president, Carole Switzer, Esq.

ACL Connections 2008 is an annual event that provides training sessions, opportunities to connect with ACL product leaders, news about technology releases, and customer case studies presented by industry leaders from around the world. For the keynote session, Switzer will provide an overview of the OCEG Framework and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) process model, and preview a self-evaluation tool for internal audit that OCEG is developing with some of the world’s leading companies.

OCEG is a non-profit organization that seeks to help organizations drive performance by enhancing corporate culture and integrating governance, risk management, and compliance processes. ACL Services is a member of its Technology Council, and contributes its domain expertise on continuous auditing and monitoring technology alongside organizations such as ACL implementation partner Deloitte and technology partner SAP.

“The multitude of compliance requirements that face enterprises, and the complexities these regulations bring, are growing every year,” says Switzer. “Internal auditors using the right combination of technology can take the lead in shaping organizational efficiencies and defining the path to achieving enterprise-wide compliance.”

ACL technology provides audit professionals with best-of-breed audit and monitoring solutions that access, analyze and test controls within virtually any system and ensure transactions are reviewed on a timely basis.

Additional conference speakers include Joel Kramer from the MIS Training Institute, and ACL customers such as Stephen Sinclair from Union Bank of California, and Shyrl Kennedy from the Corporate Compliance & Monitoring branch of the Government of British Columbia, among others. These sessions will cover the broad spectrum of audit technology – from ad hoc to continuous – and the benefits users have gained from each approach.
