PR4.5 RETIRE & TERMINATE WORKFORCE
Retire and terminate individuals using a consistent process and conduct exit interviews to understand whether they observed any misconduct or noncompliance while employed.

Management should have in place a consistent exit process, both for employees who are retiring and those who have been terminated. An exit interview provides an opportunity for management to ask departing employees whether they have observed any noncompliant behavior while employed. Departing employees may be more candid in their assessment of the existing compliance and ethics culture, and of the effectiveness of the compliance and ethics program.
