O4-OPERATIONAL PERSONNEL

An organization should assign specific personnel (“operational personnel”) the day-to day responsibility for program activities. Operational responsibility may be assumed by strategic personnel or delegated. Operational personnel may be dedicated to the program ("direct personnel") or shared with other departments within the organization ("indirect personnel"). Ideally, operational responsibility should be integrated with the other responsibilities of business operators and staff.
For example, the senior executives of sales should be operationally responsible for sales-related compliance risks such as anti-trust and anti-bribery issues.
